Leasing management platform Hightower has opened an office in Chicago, the second new office this year and eighth overall for the New York City-based company.

“Chicago is a center of activity for commercial real estate,” CEO Brandon Weber said. “We already have over 60 million square feet of Chicago real estate on the platform. It just felt like time to set up a base of operations there and offer our customers a local support team.”

Major players already on the platform include Zeller Realty Group, Singerman Real Estate, Beacon Capital, JLL, CBRE, and Sterling Bay.

According to Weber, the company has seen rapid growth in the first half of 2016, doubling total square footage on the platform since the start of the year.

Recently the company launched a new suite of retail features and announced an integration partnership with CompStak.
