Experienced HealthTech industry executive Monika Wysocki has joined New York City-based real estate technology accelerator MetaProp NYC as general manager. Wysocki will focus on growing the company’s community and will lead the upcoming real estate technology startup accelerator class of 2016.

“Over the past few years, Monika helped build one of the few successful New York-based industry communities and, in the process, has solicited, evaluated, selected, and grown some of the most exciting startups — all skills that transfer seamlessly to our booming business,” said Aaron Block, MetaProp NYC’s co-founder and managing director.

Prior to joining MetaProp NYC, Wysocki was a portfolio manager with StartUp Health and before that she was an associate digital strategist/strategic planner with McCann Health.

“From a technology community perspective, real estate is years behind healthcare, financial services, media, education and fashion,” added Block. We’re thrilled that Monika is bringing her years of HealthTech experience to help lead the REtech evolution in New York City and beyond.”

Block, along with Clelia Peters and Zach Aarons, co-founded MetaProp NYC last year to provide growth services, mentoring, intensive courses and funding for seed and early-stage startups. Like the startups it nurtures, the firm has been accelerating its own growth in recent months. In January, the company held its first demo day event and last month the company launched a real estate tech consultancy called MetaProp Advisors.
