This October, real estate technology experts from around the globe will descend on New York City for what is expected to be the biggest “PropTech” gathering ever seen. MetaProp NYC, one of the premier real estate tech organizations, is spearheading the third annual Real Estate Tech Week (NYC RETech Week 2017) which runs Monday, October 2nd through Friday, Oct. 13th, 2017, at various venues throughout New York City’s five boroughs and nearby suburbs.

MetaProp NYC has brought together a variety of real estate industry stakeholders to participate, including the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), New York City Economic Development Corporation and others to showcase PropTech’s best startups, entrepreneurs and thought leaders.

The highlight of the week is expected to be the second annual MIPIM PropTech Summit, the world’s leading real estate technology event, which will take place on October 11th. The MIPIM PropTech Summit connects key real estate decision makers from all sectors with the most innovative startups and technology companies. The MIPIM PropTech Summit will also host the North American leg of the MIPIM Global Startup Competition 2018, which takes place March 2018 in Cannes, France. The competition recognizes the most dynamic international startups offering real estate and urban management solutions and provides those competing with an opportunity to meet and pitch business to investors, developers, financial companies, media analysts and other key influencers.

“New York City Real Estate Tech Week 2017 is substantially bigger and better this year, as we continue to attract the most exciting PropTech organizations and individuals from around the city, nation and the world to curate and hold magnetic events attracting the best real estate tech thinkers, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs,” said Aaron Block, Co-Founder and Managing Director of MetaProp NYC. “For the second year, New York City Real Estate Tech Week’s events will be anchored by the MIPIM PropTech Summit. In addition, we have kinetic indoor and outdoor events, such as the REBNY New York, New York VIP Tours, that will bring attendees into actual contact with some of the massive projects using real estate technology right here in the center of the PropTech world.”

On the evening of October 9, 2017, Chicago-based BuiltWorlds will host its roadshow event at MetaProp NYC’s headquarters. The 50-person, invitation only event will feature construction technology networking, speakers and demonstrations of local trends in built environment technologies. The New York roadshow event will focus on bidding and pre-construction.

Attendees will have the opportunity to register for VIP tours on October 10, 2017, highlighting some of the most important real estate neighborhoods in New York City. These tours, presented by the Real Estate Board of New York and led by native NYC docents, are designed to give out-of-town and local attendees a flavor for New York’s most intriguing development landscapes, construction trends, leasing updates and PropTech implementations.

The fall NYC Real Estate Technology Startups (NYCRETS) Meetup will be held the evening of October 9th. NYCRETS is made up of more than 1,000 PropTech enthusiasts and meets regularly to showcase thought leadership and new technologies.

The International Blockchain Real Estate Association (IBREA) will present its second annual conference on October 10th. At this full day event, top professionals from the real estate and blockchain technology industries will gather together in panel discussions and working groups, and select startups in this space will have the opportunity to showcase their companies.

In the coming weeks, additional event details and dozens of speakers and sponsors are expected to be announced.
